The Second Child

Dear Second Child,
Just because we are 30 weeks pregnant and have no furniture, clothing, diapers, or ANY other things that babies should have for you- doesn't mean we don't love you. We do!! Daddy and I work best under pressure, and I promise you will NOT come home naked to an empty nursery. Well, that isn't entirely true- the nursery could be empty, but you WILL have a bed in Mommy and Daddy's room! Your furniture is on back order and will be here in 8-10 weeks, which is exactly how long we have, so no worries right? Anyway, they give you an outfit and a blanket in the hospital so we have something...

Saturday at the Park

On Saturday, Jennifer and I took Anna to one of the parks in Windrose. It was such a nice day. We all had fun. Anna is still a bit unsure about walking on grass or mulch. She's just as stable on about any level surface, but she doesn't like to fall and have to touch grass or mulch. Most of the time she just stands and observes.Anna decided to taste some concrete. Either that or she decided to convert to Islam without telling us.






Of course, Anna convinced Daddy to give her some piggyback rides. I'm sorry the picture is a little blurry, but the camera is too slow to capture Daddy's blazing speed.

Guest Post

Hello Everyone,

Today I, Matt, am home taking care of my two little girls. Jennifer has a bad back, so I'm trying to fill in some of her at-home duties. My first duty of the day was picking out an outfit. Apparently I failed because Jenn made me change her. Doesn't it make sense that green shirt matches green pants and green shoes? It makes sense to me.
I will concede that socks with sandals was a poor decision. I don't know what I was thinking.

Anyway, here's a picture of Anna today...running around and having fun.

Children's Museum

Today we met some friends at the mall and went into the Children's Museum. Anna had a lot of fun and we will definitely go back!

Anna's Pearls

Anna has these red beads that she pretty much stole from me when I was decorating for Christmas. I bought a long strand and cut them to put in a canister. She found my discarded section on the floor and ran off with them. She puts them on EVERY DAY and walks around with them. It is too cute! Matt calls them her pearls...

She also stole my lotion out of my purse and ran around with it this weekend. She is quite the little thief...

Anna's New Method of Transportation!

Well, we thought Anna would walk by Christmas since she crawled at 7 months and has pretty much been cruising ever since, but last week she became a full time walker! She now only crawls if she is upset and needs to get somewhere fast, like to Mommy or Daddy for comfort (or for something like a cookie!). She can even move at a run if she is feeling really brave. We are so proud of her new accomplishment. And Mommy is glad that she doesn't have to carry 23 pounds of Anna Claire EVERYWHERE!!

Last Party...I Promise

This weekend was Anna's last birthday celebration! We got to visit with family and friends in Baton Rouge. It was great to see everyone on such a beautiful day. The kids had fun playing outside. Even though Anna wasn't feeling wonderful and lost steam at the end, I know she had fun and is loving all of her new clothes, books, and toys!

This Weekend

This weekend we had a little birthday party for Anna with her Spring friends. She got lots of fun stuff, and enjoyed playing and visiting with everyone. Thank you everyone!!

Next weekend we are off to Louisiana to visit family and friends, and we will close out her birthday there by having one more party.
