Lake Charles Christmas

This weekend we had Christmas in Lake Charles! The kids got some new toys to play with, and had fun playing outside. Sam's favorite was his leaf blower. His face was priceless! I think Anna's favorite present were her new princess shoes. I can't wait for this weekend when Santa comes!

Market Street Outing

Today after church we went to Market Street to let the kids run around and eat lunch. Since they were all dressed up in their Sunday best we decided to snap a few pictures. They really enjoy running around out there, and the weather was gorgeous!! The decorations were out for Christmas and the kids loved seeing them too. The tree is HUGE!!

Sam's dramatic up shot.

Beautiful girl!

Thanksgiving

These are pretty much the only Thanksgiving pictures we have. We were roasting marshmallows outside in LC. The kids really liked it!

Dewberry Farms

This weekend we went to Dewberry Farms with Aunt Jessie and some friends. We had a lot of fun!

Aunt Jessie and Anna looking at the animals. There was a huge turkey walking around the barn, Anna didn't really care for him much!

Happy kiddos!

Me and Nikki at the bouncy pillows.

The kids bounced on the big pillow. Notice the two lazy bones laid out in the middle letting everyone else do the jumping :)

Anna going down the big slide.

Lily and her Daddy on the slide.

Sam Man sliding on his own.

Luke's turn!

Daddy and Anna feeding the goats. She wouldn't feed them out of her hand (does that surprise you?) so she and Matt put food in the cup and sent it up to the goat at the top of the stairs and he would eat it out of the cup.

Sam feeding the goats out of his hand.

Lily feeding the goats out of her hand.

Pony ride...not too sure about this!

Nope I'm good! Lovin it!

Happy Halloween!

Anna and Sam had a great Halloween! They loved getting candy, and seeing all the costumes. Sam wanted to stop and eat the candy after every house, but other than that it was a good night!

Travel Weekend!

This weekend we went to BR for Avery and Noah's birthday party. We have never made it in for their birthday and I was so excited we had the chance to go.

Anna, Noah, and Avery in the Jump Jump.

Kari, me, Erin outside the Jumpy thing.

Noah and his Super Why cake!

Avery digging in to the smash cake that Erin made for her!

Pizza! Doesn't he have the most beautiful blue eyes?!

Cute little smash cake made by Erin.

On Sunday we headed to Gulfport to see Nana. We were going to a special service to see her get a medal for all her service to the church. We were so proud of her! Here are Anna and Sam playing on the front porch.

Halloween Party

Nikki and I had a Halloween party last week! The kids came over dressed in their costumes and made crafts, played games, and ate pizza. I think they all had a good time!

Putting stickers on the goody bags.

Playing a game.

Lily and Anna.

The hosts of the party: Fireman Sam, Pinkalicious, Strawberry Shortcake, and Batman!

The finale: a Pinata that didn't open up when the kids pulled the ribbons! I had to yank it open, but I'm pretty sure they didn't care. They were happy to see the loot!

Pretty much all the kiddos. Anna was not in the picture, she was done by this time!

Oil Ranch Field Trip

The train ride, pretty much the only smile all day.

Anna with her buds Pierson and Aaron.

This month Anna's class went on a field trip to the Oil Ranch. The class had a ton of fun, Anna didn't care for it. I'm not sure if it was because I was there or what, but she didn't want to do anything. She wouldn't ride the pony, look at or pet animals, milk the cow, sit for a class picture- NOTHING! She eventually came around a little and I got a couple pics, but overall I'd say not worth it!

Dance Recital

This weekend Anna had her second dance recital. She takes tap and ballet and loves it! I am so impressed with how much she has learned. There is a recital every eight weeks for the 3-5 year old kiddos, this time she was Tinkerbell.

My little Stinkerbell :)

Sam got to give Anna the flowers that Nanna and Grandpa brought for her. He told her she did an awesome job. So cute!

Picnic Dinner

Last night we took the kids to the park for dinner and playtime. The weather has been beautiful! It is finally not too hot to play outside. It will probably not last long so we are taking advantage of every opportunity to be out and about!

Love how much they love each other!!

Back to School

Not interested AT ALL in taking a picture for his first day of school because "I NOT go to cool!".

The kids have gone back to MDO this year! Anna is LOVING it. Sam not so much. He cries every time I drop him off and I get a phone call about thirty minutes prior to pick up time from his teacher. It is the same story, he cried on and off, didn't want to participate, and it would be a good idea if I was the first mom there to pick him up! I'm hoping he gets over it soon, but he is stubborn so we will see :)

I will say for a little boy who sits in the corner and cries and refuses to participate- he sure is breaking out the new songs, and nursery rhymes at the dinner table! He cracks us up because he knows all the words, and does hand motions for it all. I wish his teachers could see THAT because I'm pretty sure they would be shocked!

Aside from school we have not been up to much. This week we are fighting a stomach virus that is working it's way through the family. Hopefully that will be over soon!
