Baton Rouge Pictures

Last week Anna and I were in Baton Rouge for the week to visit friends and family. I didn't take very many pictures, but here are a few...

Anna LOVES the mobile in the crib at Mom and Dad's house. She laughs and smiles at it when I put her in the crib.


Didi came to see Anna on Wednesday. We had a nice relaxing visit that day, and I got to go get a pedicure while they watched Anna that afternoon!


On Saturday we went to church with Mr. Mitch and Ms. Gabi and then went back to their house for dinner. They made Crawfish Delish, fried crawfish, and mom and I made crawfish in crescent rolls (I don't know the name of it, but it was good!). Here is Aunt Jessie entertaining Anna while the chefs cook!

Ok, Sarah has tagged me on my reading selections. I was supposed to turn to page 125 of my book and write the 5th line of the page.

I am currently reading Where Are You Now? By Mary Higgins Clark. The line is : "I went back to Sutton Place and was glad to go there because I no longer felt at home in my West Village Apartment." It is a great book about a guy who has vanished without a trace. It has been ten years since his family has seen him, but he always phones his mother on Mother's Day to tell her he is OK. It is spooky!

I am also reading Babywise by Robert Bucknam, M.D. and Gary Ezzo, M.A. The line on p. 125 is "Stick with it." Believe me~ I intend to!! I will get this child to sleep 6-7 hours in a row consistently (not just when she feels like it) SOON!!

Sorry no pictures today! They will be coming soon. We are trying to catch up. Anna and I have been out of town for the past week. We had a lot of fun in Baton Rouge with family and friends. I can't wait to go back!

Lost and Found...

The following items were found while Matt and I were cleaning up after the crawfish boil on Sunday afternoon. Please take a look at them and let me know if anything is yours. And if it isn't something I would like to keep...I'll think about returning it to you :)

YUM! Crawfish

We had a crawfish boil today with some of our Texas friends. Here is Anna in her pretty dress before everyone arrived. She insisted on lifting it up no matter how many times I took it out of her fingers!

Here is the ENORMOUS bowl of dip that Amanda brought. When you ask her to bring a snack to share she really comes through for you! It was Chuy's dip and it was great. We ALL got to take some home! I don't have any other pictures after this. My hands were too full of crawfish, and I was too busy eating to pick up the camera. All of the food was great.

She's a Keeper!

Anna went to see Dr. Tamm, her pediatrician, today for her 2-month check-up. She did well, they weighed her, measured her, and gave her shots. She is sporting her three band-aids in this picture! She weighed 12.6 pounds, and was 23 1/2 inches long! She is in the 90th percentile for height (shocker!) and weight. Her head measured either 31 or 37, I couldn't read the nurse's handwriting! Anyway, that puts her in the 25th percentile for head circumference. Dr. Tamm looked her over and said she was perfect so Matt and I have decided to keep her :)

Beautiful Week

We had a great weekend. Jessie came to visit and Matt's parents came back from Ireland and spent time with us. Matt and his parents worked on our back flower bed. They planted flowers, mulched, and then Matt and I went to pick out stones to put around it. It turned out very pretty. They did a great job.

Our little girl is growing up so fast! She is amazing and is doing new things every day! This week she realized there were dragonflies hanging from her bouncer. She now "talks" to them and thinks they are hilarious! She loves that bouncer...and so do Matt and I. It has been a lifesaver!
