Happy Birthday Anna Claire!!

Last Friday Anna Claire turned TWO!!! Her Nanna, Grandpa, Mimi, Pop, Ms. Kim, Luke, Nanny, and Noah all came in from SNOWY Baton Rouge to celebrate with her. She is so lucky to have so many people who want to share her special day with her! We had an Elmo party for her on Saturday and a bunch more of our Spring friends came to celebrate. We had fun!

These pictures are a little out of order so bare with me. I would have posted them sooner, but someone is HOGGING the office and I don't get much blogging time...

Elmo cake from RJ Goodies- BEST cake I have ever had!

Singing "Happy Birthday" to Anna. She didn't blow out the candle on her own. We will have to practice for next time!

Friday night- Kim brought Anna a huge bag of dress up clothes that someone at work gave her. She LOVES it! Thank you Kim!!

St. Jude Boat Parade 2010

This year Matt and I were back on the boat for the annual St. Jude's Krewe of Diversion parade. It was a little windy, but we managed to hit, I mean GET to lots of piers and grab money for our cause. Johnny did a great job driving, it wasn't easy! We always have a ton of fun, thank you for having us Carrie! And thank you Ms. Patsy and Mr. Grover for the wonderful food after the parade. It hit the spot!

Matt and I before the parade.

Getting ready...

Eric, Karen, and Todd in the back of the boat, and Amy's head!
Kari doing a Jello shot that someone handed her off a pier. Mrs. Renata- I told her not to do it, but she didn't listen, so fuss at her- not me!!

I'm not sure what you would call our theme, but we wore Snuggies and put on plastic butts. Here is Eric in his thonged butt and snuggie at the costume competition.
I am pretty sure this is Carrie's "I don't think we gonna win face"! BUT...we came in second for costumes!! GO US!!!

"I can pull up on the table!"

"Look what the tunnel does to my hair!"

Party Days

A couple weeks ago we went to Jake's birthday party! I forgot I had pictures until Amanda gave me a snapshot of Outlaw Anna at the party. This was such a cute idea for a Cowboy themed party. The kids had a lot of fun. Thanks for inviting us Jake!

Say What?

Matt and I were laughing last night about all the things Anna says to us now. We wanted to get them down before we forgot. Her speech changes every day. I can't believe she will be 2 in less than a month!

Things We Love To Hear Anna Say:

  • She requests that we sing Frosty the Bedpan every day
  • At church when asked to sing along to "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" she popped up and yelled out "Oh! Anals!" Because an Anal is an Angel to her.
  • When I leave to go somewhere and tell her to be good for daddy she replies: "No scheming, no dying" She means no screaming or crying.
  • Ring Around the Rosy ends with "Asses Asses, we all fall down"
  • When her baby falls out of the stroller she picks it up and pats its back saying, "Oh, hurt? It's okay, it's okay"
  • She greets me every day with "Hey mommy, doin?" Meaning, how are you doing?
  • "Oh! Sam tootin again! Ewwwww!" She means Sam is puking, or spitting up.
  • When you hand her a cookie she usually looks up and says "No no Shelby, no no" Or No no Sadie, depending on who stole her last cookie!
  • If we put her in footed PJ's at night she says "Bye toes!" when we put her feet in.
  • When I take her socks off she sticks her foot out to me and says "stinky?" Like I want to check for that!

That is all I can think of now. Maybe more will come to me today. She is quite a character. Between her tantrums she keeps us laughing!
