Strasburg Railroad

One of my favorite parts of the vacation was taking a ride on a train through the Amish Country. The view was beautiful and both kids really enjoyed it. Anna kept yelling "choo choo!", and she looked out her window the whole time pointing out corn and cows. It was a relaxing day, and when it was over we went and bought her a train whistle, and some rocks at the little store.

Matt said we always lean in for pictures so Jess and I decided to spice it up a bit and lean out!

Sesame Place!!!

Our second day in Philly we went to Sesame Place. Anna and Sam had a fun day. It was HOT!! We saw a show, we rode some rides, we took pictures with the characters, and then saw the parade at the end of the day. We had planned to go two days in a row, but it rained one of the days. I think one day ended up being enough!

Sam had a blast in this kiddy area! They monitored it well to make sure the big kids left the babies alone.

Anna stayed on Matt's shoulders for the entire parade and yelled hello and goodbye at every character she knew. Soo Cute!

BR Playdate!

Sunday we went to Kim and Luke's house for brunch and a playdate. We had cupcakes for dessert which is right up Anna's alley!

The Essie Resort!

Today we went to Jessie's new apartment to swim. We had the whole pool to ourselves! The kids played in the shallow part that is only six inches deep. We just threw in their toys and floaties and they had a blast!

There are a bunch of little chairs that you can put in the pool to sun in, so we put them all in the pool to block the kids from falling in the deep end. They climbed all over them.

There is a splash pad behind the pool for the kids to play in. Anna hung back and watched but Sam jumped right in.

I know we will go again this summer. Who wants to come with us??

Story Time at the Library

I've been taking Anna and Sam to the library every week for story time. Anna LOVES it! We meet friends at the library, go to story time, and then check out books. She loves to have her books read to her, and she reads them to herself at least once a day. I love that she loves to read. I think one of her favorite things about having library books though is that Sam is not aloud to touch them! We keep the books out of his reach, but not hers. She loves telling him, "No!".

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day weekend! Mimi and Pop came for a visit so we celebrated on Saturday. Matt got a new grill, and we cooked out. Everything was delicious!

Mimi brought the kids a pair of monkey glasses and flamingo glasses. Here are the monkey glasses, Anna left hers at church the next day. Oops!
