Embarrassing for Mommy or Anna?

I'm not sure if this is more embarrassing for me or for Anna, but it cracks us up so I had to post it. Anna LOVES to help me fold laundry. If I come in the room carrying a basket she runs over and starts handing me clothes to fold. Until she finds a pair of my underwear...those immediately go around her neck! Then she keeps them on until I chase her down and take them off. Hmm...potty training could be more difficult than I thought. Lesson 1: Underwear do not go around your neck!

Miss Anna

Things we love about Anna:

• She talks ALL DAY LONG!
• We have NO IDEA what she is saying most of the time!
• She clearly calls for Mommy or Daddy, and we love to hear her call our name.
• She can point out her ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, knees, shoulders, toes, and belly.
• BUT, if she is ever on your lap and points out your nose and says "nose"-CLOSE YOUR EYES because the next thing she will do is poke you in each eye and whisper "Eyes, eyes" it is hilarious!
• If she stands at the back door and says "Two" she wants to you count to three so she can run across the room.
• She has a book with a picture of a toothbrush in it and she points to it and yells "butt"...we are working on that!
• When she wants you to pick her up she says "up ado"
• When you ask her to say please she says "peas stop it" probably because all day long I say "Please stop it!"
• If Sam is sleeping I close his door. If Anna sees it is closed she walks up to it, looks at me with her finger to her mouth and says "shhh, shhh"...and then runs down the hall screaming. I have to give her credit for trying!
• The girl can DANCE!!
• She loves to see her friend Guke. Some people may pronounce it Luke, but to her he is Guke.
• If she sees a baby she says "Babies!" Even though it is usually ONE baby.

There are so many other things she does that crack us up, but I can't think of all of them. I just wanted to get these down so I could tell her about them one day.

Museum

Today Jessie, Nikki, and I took the kids to the museum in the mall. We had lots of fun running around and seeing all the fun things to play with. There were a lot more people there than the last time because school is out. I think we will wait until everyone goes back to school before we return. I don't like the crowds!

Sam is starting to smile! He is so cute and it is such a reward to finally get a response out of him!

Anna DID NOT want to be in the dirt! Where does she get that from I wonder??

This one I will claim- this is totally a Jenn stance. The hand placement is JUST like mine! It is strange to see your child make the same gestures you do!

This Weekend...

This weekend Anna decided to help Matt and I out. Since Sam is often unhappy and we never know why, she decided to read a Parenting magazine and see if she could solve his problem! Let us know what you find Anna. We are open to any advice anyone wants to give!

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend! Aunt Sarah and Uncle Michael came to visit and met Sam. Then on Saturday we had some friends over to cook out and go swimming. We wore the kids out!
