Since everyone enjoyed this picture on Facebook yesterday, I decided to add it to the blog. Yesterday Sam wore this outfit out to the doctors office, and I kept wondering all day if the outfit was a bit much! The feet were little Santas and he also had a Christmas bib on. He looks pretty happy so you wouldn't even guess that he was running a fever of 101 with medicine when that pic was taken!

Both kids had to see the doc yesterday. They are both ear infection free. Sam has about four more teeth trying to poke through, and a virus. She took blood from both-not fun! I had to hand off a screaming Sam to a nurse, and hold Anna down for her needle sticks. Then I had two screaming ones to comfort. Anna bounced back quickly when the nurse gave her a lollipop, so that really helped!

We are looking forward to Christmas this year. Can't wait to see how Anna reacts to all the presents. Just a few more days...

Thanksgiving Day

Aunt Jessie and Sam

Aunt Connie and Sam.

Happy Sam playing.

I promise Anna was there too, she was just sleeping when we took the pictures. Thanksgiving Day is the day she started to get sick, so she slept most of the day!

Thanksgiving Pics Part 2...

How cute is he!!

Anna had a playdate with Noah while we were in town. I really wish these two could grow up together and see each other all the time. They are supposed to be BFF's like their moms are :)

Six Month Sam

Sam is 6 months old!! We go for the doctor visit later this week, but last week at the doctor he weighed in at 17 pounds!

He is eating from a spoon horribly, but loves pears, and squash.
He is usually happy despite the fact that he NEVER SLEEPS!!! We are up and happy at 5:30am EVERY morning. By "we" I guess I mean Sam!

He has been rolling front to back with no problem for a while, and is determined to crawl.

He is pretty mobile, much to my shock. Since five months he could pretty much get wherever he needed to be. Now he is a fast mover and must be watched AT ALL times. I see lots of bumps and bruises in his future- he has no fear!! He doesn't sit up well on his own yet. He has no interest in staying in one place, so why would he need to sit? Ugg.

Anna loves her "Sambo" most of the time, but was not at all thrilled to see him in HER highchair. She threw a big tantrum at Mimi's house the first time we put him in her seat.

She talks to him and he smiles and laughs. It is so fun to watch them together. I hope they will continue to be friends!

Matt and I are so proud of our kids! They are so cute and funny and they amaze us every single day. We are so lucky!

What Did We Do Today?

Most days when Matt gets home he asks the kids, "What did you do today?". Sam usually just smiles and drools, which is a pretty accurate answer considering that is what he does ALL day! Anna now repeats the last word of every sentence you say to her so her reply is, "Today?". Since that doesn't really help Matt picture what the kids do all day I thought I would help out...

Sam...

Today Sam formally introduced himself to the ladies of the Princess Couch. I think we are going to have to get the upholstery cleaned after this drool fest!
Anna...
Today Anna decided wearing the toy box was WAY more fun than playing with the toys in the box.

Our First Stop

The first stop on our 10 day trip home started in New Orleans. Matt was in his friend Geoff's wedding, so we got a nice little mini vacation without kids! Thanks Geoff and Camille, we had a lot of fun visiting with friends we hadn't seen in a while.

Don't worry, I am pretty sure Matt did not taste the groom's cake before everyone else did...but I am not going to guarantee that!

A Bushel and A Peck...For Mary Grandma

When I was little my grandmother would sing me a song called, "A Bushel and A Peck". I have been singing this song to Anna since she was a tiny baby. She has just started chiming in with me so I thought I would share it with my grandma. I hope your computer gets this Grandma!! We miss you and love you Mary Grandma and Poppy Ed!!

Dewberry Farm

This weekend we went to Dewberry Farms with the Bartkowiaks and had a fun time!! Shock of all shocks- Anna got on the jumpy thing and liked it!! She actually tried something new with no real shoving from us. She just went for it! She was on it forever. It wore her out!

Jumping with Luke, or Yuke as Anna calls him! I couldn't get them to look at the camera.

There were so many things for the kids to do. If the weather had been a little cooler we could have stayed longer and done more. By the time Anna warmed up to doing new things it was time to go- Sam was fading fast. Next year we will definitely go back!

Thank You Ms. Ann!

If Ms. Ann hadn't gotten Anna this outfit I am not sure she would have dressed up! I am just NOT into Halloween. Maybe next year when they can both dress up I will do something fun.

Happy Five Months Sam...

At five months Sam:

- has 2 and a half teeth- An over achiever- Anna cut her first tooth towards the end of her 5th month

- is still on pricey formula

- can roll both ways- He actually beat his sister in this. He rolled at 4 months, I don't remember when Anna did but it took FOREVER!!

- smiles constantly

- laughs with a little work

- loves to watch Anna do ANYTHING, and lets her torture him

- is a HORRIBLE sleeper at night, but naps are okay most days

- has NOT mastered the spoon after 4 weeks on oatmeal and a couple days on green beans, but I just keep shovin it in! This threw me because Anna ate from a spoon like an expert from the very beginning. I didn't know it could be so diffictult. Must be a boy thing...
Although he has been a not so easy baby as far as sleeping, he is a HAPPY baby, and the cutest little boy I have ever seen!
Love you Sam!

What Sisters Do To Brothers...

This is what sisters are for- they dress up their little brothers! She INSISTED that he wear her crown. The best part was that she cheered and said "Yay Sam!" every time she put the crown on his head. At least she was sharing!

Hair Bows

Mimi brought hair bows for Anna last week. She wanted to wear them all! The funny thing was I had gone to the mall earlier in the week and gotten her 4 new bows, and Mom brought her 6 new bows- and we didn't duplicate and colors! It worked out great. Anna needed new "big girl" bows, I was still using the small ones from when she was a baby. Thank you Mimi!!

Just Puttin' Around

The weather has been great lately and we have been walking at night. Last night Matt and I walked down to the putting green in our neighborhood to putt around and let Anna run and play.

She was a great help when it came to rounding up the golf balls and bringing them back to us.

Shelby was there too!

Look at Anna trying out the putter! She will be golfing with Grandpa Jerry in no time! She loved it.

Sam of course was there looking as cute as ever!

Mommy isn't very good at putting, so she decided to show off her mad juggling skills.

This is Anna counting with me. We are not sure where she learned it, but the girl can count to ten pretty much by herself!

For Matt...

Since you asked me to 'man up' the blog for Sam I changed the blog background. Do you like it?

Anna Jackson...

Matt's parents are cleaning out their house, and this weekend we got a bag of Matt's childhood belongings. In that bag were a pair of gloves that look like gators. When I was going through the bag and putting stuff away Anna stole one of the gloves and wanted me to put it on her hand. She wore this ONE glove ALL DAY!! She wouldn't put them both on- just one! Every time it fell off she would make me put it back on her. So I started calling her Anna Jackson!
